Job Title: Deputy Press Secretary
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Overview: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Press Secretary to support their Press Secretary in managing public image and communication efforts. The ideal candidate will assist in crafting and disseminating messages to the media, coordinating press events, and managing media inquiries. This role will also involve developing and implementing communication plans and strategies, as well as supporting internal and crisis communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Press Secretary in managing and maintaining the agency's public image and communication strategies.
- Collaborate in the creation and dissemination of press releases, statements, and other communications to the media.
- Coordinate press events, including logistics, scheduling, and preparation of materials.
- Manage incoming media inquiries and ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans and strategies to effectively convey key messages to the public.
- Support internal communication efforts to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
- Assist in crisis communication efforts, including rapid response and media management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in media, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license for job-related travel.

- Salary: Commensurate with experience ($55,000 - $60,000 per year).
