The Marketing Director will be a strategic leader for the Americas driving awareness, brand love and trial of the No7 brand.
The Marketing Director – Activation will be responsible for the development, planning and execution of No7 skincare and cosmetics portfolio - including but not limited to innovation pipeline, commercial programs (promo strategy, training/education approach, performance tracking), demand planning/forecasting. The Director will be a strategic partner to brand Senior Director and will partner closely with the Senior Manager - Brand Equity, US Commercial Teams, Global Marketing and Global Product teams to ensure US market has a robust pipeline of future NPD and all necessary retail plans to deliver robust US growth and product launches.
This is a key role in the organization and is a strategic business partner to Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, the Global Brand and Global Product teams in the UK and importantly to our retail partners – with a specific focus on our owned retailer, Walgreens. The role will focus on delivering all identified profitability and sales objectives while directing the brand marketing activities.
This hybrid position is primarily based at our Chicago office, with a required on-site presence of at least three days per week. You also have the flexibility to work from our Deerfield office. Attendance at either location may be required on specific days to attend important company events.
Key Responsibilities
The role will support the Senior Brand Director and will be responsible for:
Delivering the No7 NPD 3YP Pipeline to achieve the brand’s growth ambition
Leading the planning for new product launches and associated campaign planning
Coaching Brand Managers to support on key initiatives and deliver business objectives
Implementing the local brand strategy and developing the marketing and brand activation plans aligned with both the local business development objectives including retail media, retail activations and digital/ecommerce support.
Ensuring brand deliverables and timings are met by coordinating and partnering closely together with Global Marketing and Product teams, Sales, Shopper Marketing, Finance and Operations teams
Working closely with owned retail partner as well as 3rd party to develop and ensure seamless execution of plans
Working with the Senior Brand Director & Executive Director as well as with global marketing teams and agency partners to determine overall support levels by product category and develop integrated brand plans
Accountable for the planning execution of all components of the approved strategy and integrated brand plans
Providing guidance, in conjunction with Sales and Demand Planning, for existing and new products forecast
Working with Brand Equity, Creative, Visual Merchandising, and Commercial teams to create high-quality and flawless in-store and online point of sale executions
Analyzing competitive data through NPD/Consumer Insights to determine overall impact of programs and generate ideas / needs for programs moving forward. Assess sell-through and profitability and make any necessary changes/recommendations

Candidate must be an entrepreneurial, organized, brand leader with a strong sense of accountability. They must be able to work well within a matrixed organization to inspire, align and deliver. The ideal candidate must be prepared to get involved in all aspects of the business with a true "hands-on" approach. An energetic, natural communicator with strong ability to plan, present and implement integrated brand plans, brand ecosystems and innovative activation programs. This individual must have a strong sense of team spirit and be able to work with all other departments (Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance and Operations) to ensure timely and efficient implementation of strategic and tactical plans. The position requires organization, coordination and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
10+ years of related work experience, MBA preferred
Position requires strategic thinking, creativity and thorough knowledge in all areas of marketing including the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing programs
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities to manage highly complex categories, programs and retailer initiatives
Strong leadership skills and project management skills
Excellent written and oral communications, excellent presentation skills, interpersonal and team building capabilities with internal functional groups as well as with external partners
