Job Description
Role Overview:
Are you a highly motivated critical thinker with a passion for pediatric cancer care and critical care medicine? Join the MSK Kids APP team as an inpatient APP rotating through the PICU, inpatient surgery, and inpatient transplant and cellular therapies teams. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in an acute care setting, delivering comprehensive care to pediatric patients admitted to the inpatient unit s.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred
OR
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required, Acute Care certification preferred
- Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 2+ years of related clinical experience, PICU experience preferred
Core skills:
- Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, healthcare team members, surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
- Comprehensive Care: Provide thorough and holistic care to pre-surgical testing patients, addressing their medical needs and ensuring they are prepared for surgery.
- Assessment Expertise: Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, gathering essential information to inform treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes
Additional information:
Hours: 13 shifts per 4 week schedule, 12 hour shifts including days, weekend, and holiday rotation
Location : 1275 York Avenue, New York NY
Pay Range $144,000-182,000K
