Additionally, you lead creative teams, manage external communications, and shape the overall customer experience. Your role involves continuous improvement, budget management, and reporting to senior management.

Primary Duties:
Lead a dynamic team of marketing professionals driving strategic initiatives and ensuring measurable results. Inspire the team by fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion and creativity while articulating Sally Beauty’s brand vision and mission. Recruit, hire, develop, and performance manage to deliver business objectives while providing feedback and fostering growth. Oversee external agencies and vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration while working cross functionally with merchandising, store operations, ecommerce, and customer insights and activation. Utilize effective project management skills to execute campaigns and track progress while utilizing a data driven approach and assessment method.
Responsibilities include media management supporting the full depth of the marketing funnel, including buying and deployment across all channels, eg. social, performance, OOH, etc. Develop data driven strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue while optimizing for ROAS, CAC, and LTV. Lead creative teams in development of impactful campaigns, visuals, and content while fostering innovation and creative approaches. Oversee content creation, ensuring it aligns with brand voice and tone to resonate with our customers. Review and approve marketing collateral, including website copy, emails, and ads. Support brick and mortar stores to execute all marketing and promotional campaigns. Lead integrated marketing efforts to develop holistic strategies to seamlessly flow across all channels – cross functional collaboration is a must.
Crucial role shaping the overall customer experience and brand perception by communicating the Sally brand values, promise, mission, and personality. Collaborate cross functionally to map out customer journeys from awareness to post-purchase, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience. Develop social media strategies to engage our audience, enhance brand sentiment, and drive sales. Manage external communications through public relations campaigns, crisis communication and cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers as necessary. Stay attuned to customer feedback, trends, and emerging technologies. Develop innovative solutions based on customer needs to improve experiences.
Drive and grow revenue attributed to marketing efforts including customer lifetime value and customer acquisition cost. Improve brand awareness and perception while gauging loyalty and likelihood to recommend via NPS. Support ecommerce efforts to improve conversion rates, click through rates, and costs per click. Grow engagement rate and follower growth while monitoring social sentiment through social media channels. Continuous improvement for return on marketing investment and return on ad spend.
Plans marketing initiatives and determines the best use of marketing dollars to reach the broader spectrum. Oversees, balances, and maintains the marketing department multi-million-dollar budget. Directs preparation and presentation of reports and decks as needed to support senior management marketing directives and control expenditures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
At least 15 years of direct marketing experience preferably in the retail industry and at least ten years of management experience
Experience in marketing planning, advertising, and direct marketing communications
Experience directing, briefing and motivating creative teams and reviewing/enhancing marketing materials
Business and marketing acumen with a knowledge and appreciation of the creative product/process
Proven track record in integrated marketing and successful campaign execution

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
