Job Type: Full-time Variable 12 hour Days/Nights with every other weekend and on call
Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus
Department/Unit Summary
Conemaugh's Obstetric and Pediatric Unit offers services to expecting mothers including labor and delivery, newborn couplet care, pediatrics, and gynecological needs. The unit consists of 7 labor and delivery beds, 4 triage beds, and 14 mother/baby couplet rooms. We have midwives in house 24/7, along with OB/GYN physicians and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians covering daily. The unit has the support of inpatient and outpatient lactation services with lactation consultants and counselors covering. The unit has a dedicated Nurse Educator for structured education and live drills planned throughout the year. As an RN, you will enjoy structured self-scheduling by rotation of day/night schedule, rotation of holidays, and daily support of management, supervisor and charge nurses. A fully staffed Level III NICU is a part of our care team consisting of experienced RN's, Advanced Practice Providers, and a Neonatologist.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course or acquire during introductory period. Must be maintained every 2 years
Neonatal Resuscitation Certification or acquire during introductory period. Must be maintained every 2 years
