Job Description
(3x12 hour shifts) (rotating 7a-7p / 7p-7a) (36 hr. week)
This full-time position is accountable for coordinating nursing care and maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN delegates patient care to support staff according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and adequacy of resources. The MSP RN may float to other nursing units to care for patients within their training and scope of practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions
- Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care.
- Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.
- Required to work 2 rotating holidays/year
