Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager in Acute OB is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the OB/NICU areas and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all OB/NICU service line staff. This individual will be competent to perform in all areas of the OB Service, to include but not limited to OB ED Nurse, QMP, L&D Nurse, & OBOR Circulator, as required to ensure the smooth operation of the OB Service as a whole. ANM is responsible for assisting with unit staffing and schedule.
She/he is a leader and support to NICU service.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- ACLS certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- NRP(American Academy of Pediatrics) within 90 days
- Successful completion of Basic EKG course
- AWOHNN FETAL MONITORING within 180 Days
- Certifications specific to areas of expertise
Minimum Experience
- 2-3 years RN experience in clinical area
