Job Title: Certified Art Teacher - K-11 School
Overview: We are seeking a passionate and certified Art Teacher to join our dynamic team at Multicultural Academy, serving students from Kindergarten through 11th grade. As an Art Teacher, you will inspire creativity and foster a love for artistic expression among our students. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to nurturing young talents and enhancing the artistic capabilities of our diverse student body.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Instruct students on various art forms and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their artistic skills and confidence.
Incorporate interdisciplinary connections between art and other subjects to enrich the learning experience.
Collaborate with fellow educators and administrators to integrate art into the broader school community.
Organize and participate in art exhibitions, showcases, and events to celebrate student achievements.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Valid state certification or licensure as an Art Teacher (K-12).
Proven experience in teaching art to elementary, middle, and/or high school students.
Strong knowledge of art history, various art techniques, and contemporary art practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
Passion for art education and a commitment to fostering creativity in young minds.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
