Job Description:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work to assess, diagnose, treat and prevent patients with speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, providing therapy, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide therapy and interventions to improve patients' functional communication skills.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology
Education:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Must be licensed by the Texas Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion and patience in working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
