Job Summary:
The Roofing Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving sales, building strong client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and working closely with the project management and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Identify and target potential customers
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and build relationships
Account Management
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide timely follow-up on sales activities
Collaborate with the project management and operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget
Sales Administration
Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing to potential clients
Maintain accurate up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM system
Provide sales reports and forecasts to Sales Manager(s)
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to achieve company objectives
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategy development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field
Proven experience in account management or sales within the roofing or construction industry
Strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM Software
Understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction methods
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and external professionals
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Standing, walking, and climbing as necessary during site visits
Work Environment:
Office environment with frequent site visits
May require working outside regular business hours to meet client needs
Exposure to various weather conditions when visiting job sites
