Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a classroom, implementing innovative behavioral therapy methods, and creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development for our students. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in early education, experience and a passion for teaching children with diverse needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates learning technology and behavioral health principles.
- Lead a team of teachers to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching methods.
- Collaborate with child welfare professionals to develop individualized plans for students with special needs.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop strategies to support students with behavioral challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing physical education activities that promote physical health and well-being.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and engage them in the educational process.
- Supervise and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into the school environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or private school setting.
- Knowledge of Montessori education and its principles.
- Experience with behavioral therapy and its applications in a preschool setting.
- Familiarity with learning technology and its integration into educational activities.
- Ability to work with children with special needs, including those with hearing impairments and require Deaf education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans for students with behavioral challenges.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Passion for creating a positive and inclusive school environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.29 per hour
