We are searching for a dynamic and dedicated RN Manager for our Emergency Department & Trauma Dept. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing leadership and strategic direction to a high-performing team of nurses and medical professionals. As an RN Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department and Trauma Center, ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department and Trauma Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing team, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Manage budget and resources, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, leading efforts to improve patient care and satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the department and other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
- Respond to emergencies, providing direct patient care as necessary.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in emergency or critical care nursing, with at least 6 months in a leadership role.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care procedures, protocols, and equipment.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- High level of professionalism, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
