Neuroscience ICU Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner Opportunities Columbia, SC
Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina has opportunities available for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join their Neuro critical care team.
• Level I Emergency Trauma Center
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Full-Time, Rotating Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
• Perform consultations on neurosurgical and stroke patients
• APP led unit providing complete management of the critically ill patient
• Collaboration between neurology and neurosurgery
• Consistent availability of neurointensivists and other supportive services including anesthesia and vascular access
• Procedure opportunities including arterial lines, central lines, lumbar punctures, and intubations.
• Multidisciplinary rounds including dedicated neuro critical care pharmacist, case management, and nutrition.
• Attend weekly grand rounds, M&Ms, neuro vascular and neuro radiology meetings with CME
• 16 bed dedicated Neuroscience ICU
• Opportunity to teach and mentor neurology residents rotating through unit
• Collaborate with Magnet designated nursing staff who are stroke trained and NIHSS certified
