Tax Manager
Weinberg & Co., LLP is seeking highly qualified individuals for the position of Tax Manager. Responsibilities
Be point of contact for clients
Determine issues and conflicts from knowledge on industry trends and proactively communicate solution options to clients and team
Constantly serve client's as a trusted advisor
Lead the staff to ensure on time delivery and accuracy by conducting technical and strategic reviews of tax returns, work papers, etc.
Knowledge with foreign reporting, i.e. FBAR, and Form 5471
Collaborate with Partners on tax planning
Research tax issues and providing guidance to clients
Be an advocate for staff by assisting in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating
Contribute to practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business
Qualifications
BS Degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting, or related field
CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is a must
Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong operational and project management skills
Leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
Preferred: Master's degree in Taxation or related field
Preferred: Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite: UltraTax CS and AdvanceFlow
