- Provide specialized wound care treatment to patients in various outpatient healthcare settings - Assess and evaluate patients' wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and diabetic ulcers - Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient needs and medical history with the help of the provider - Administer wound dressings, medications, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers - Monitor and document patients' progress in healing wounds and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes - Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and self-care measures Requirements: - Valid nursing license in the state of practice - Certification in wound care (WCC) preferrable
- Proven experience in providing wound care treatment to patients - Knowledge of various wound care products, dressings, and treatment modalities - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation purposes - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
