Overall, the MST-PSB role is to provide intensive treatment services using Multisystemic Therapy principles and protocols to a caseload of up to 6 active MST clients with Problem Sexual Behaviors. MST professionals work to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. Contact with clients can include daily contact via individual and family counseling, case management, staffing, advocacy, etc. in their home environment, community, and sometimes within the treatment setting.
Therapist Job Responsibilities:
_ Preferred to live in Farmington, NM _
Engage in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members, including through group supervision.
Utilization of MST principles which include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model.
Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
Learn how to effectively connect with the families in the communities served by the team
Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment.
Balance job expectations around caseload, clinical contact and outcomes, and case management including paperwork.
Provide clinical evaluations and/or intake screenings to assess for clinical appropriateness, individual treatment needs and recommendations.
Services are currently being provided in person as much as possible and some by telehealth, as needed.
Therapists are available to clients 24 hours a day Monday through Friday with an on-call therapist rotation on the weekends. On-call therapists provide 24/hr coverage for your clients on the weekend.
While only one therapist works with a particular family, the MST team facilitates a supportive work environment to cover each other's clients for vacation/time off and support each other to maintain a work/life balance.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
_ Entry Professional _
Master's degree in related discipline.
Must be licensed as LAC, LMHC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT with the State of New Mexico
_ Intermediate Professional: _
Master's degree in psychology, or a related field
1 year of professional level experience
Must be licensed as LAC, LMHC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT with the State of New Mexico
_ Senior Professional: _
Master's degree in a related field
2 years of professional level experience
Must be licensed as LAC, LMHC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT with the State of New Mexico
