Position Summary
This position is responsible for the operations of the Emergency Department.

Primary Duties:
1. Organizes services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach to care of the injured patient.
2. Coordinates the day-to-day clinical process and performance improvement as it pertains to nursing and ancillary personnel.
3. Collaborates with the trauma program medical director in carrying out the educational, clinical, administrative and outreach activities of the trauma program.
4. Provides regular in-services/protocol updates on pre-hospital care for EMS and ED personnel.
5. Tracks education and training of field and hospital mobile intensive care personnel.
6. Gathers the performance improvement data on all trauma patients and enters it into the trauma database in a timely manner.
7. Prepares quality review reports.
8. Drafts policies and procedures as needed, provides for implementation of new and revised policies when approved.
9. Responsible for supervising base station activities.
10. Reviews all field ACLS case for process improvement.
11. Assures accuracy of ACLS logs and associated documentation.
12. Assures radios and recorder is kept in good working order.
13. Acts as liaison with field providers, the hospital and ICEMA.
Minimum Education / Experience:
• Required Current California RN License
• Minimum 57 years' RN experience in Emergency department
• Charge Nurse and/or Supervisor Experience preferred
• BSN required, Master's preferred
• Current MICN, ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications

Hours:
Pay range: $135,200 - $216,320
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience
