-1-3 years of experience
-Medication oversight and training
-Assisting intake periodically with referrals to facilitate decision making or timely admission, when there are health-related reg flags, or problems getting the medications from the referring party.
-Working directly or indirectly with clients with severe mental illness.
-Leads health-related group sessions, including med management weekly.
-The nurse acts as a liaison to the pharmacy and assists in coordinating medical attention, lab work, and medications.
-Takes the lead role in collaboration with the directors and doctors to problem-solve medication matters.
-Conducts training sessions for non-medical staff.
-The nurse is also key to helping the directors coordinate psychiatric appointments, including telehealth sessions, and ensure adherence to medication procedures.
-Assisting with ensuring the doctor has the information he needs, as well as ensuring timely and accurate follow-up and follow-through with orders from the day.
A-dministers injections.
-Actively participates in team meetings to help develop comprehensive care plans, including discharge planning.
-This position is integral to fostering effective teamwork and enhancing client wellness in our community setting.
-This position acts as a role model for our team members.
Additional Information
-Shift time is 9-5:30, M-F
-Occasional Saturday (very infrequent)
-Must be on site 5x a week
-Lot parking is first come first serve, street parking available
-Looking for someone who is PASSIONATE about Behavioral Health
-Excited to bring someone on who wants to be a long term part of the team (contract to hire model...last individual was in role for 2.5 years)
-Must be comfortable working with those who are severely mentally ill
-Focus is on harm reduction, not discontinued use
-Will NOT have to handle caring for someone who can't use the bathroom, shower alone, etc.
-Patients will be self sufficient from a traditional health care standard

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
-2-5 years of experience in Behavioral Health
-Correct licensing
