Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role as a Contracted Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nurse at Brave Alliance Mission located in Cedar Park, TX. In this role, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nurse will work with patients who have been sexually or physically assaulted to collect and document evidence, perform medical forensic examinations and provide compassionate care. The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nurse will work with law enforcement and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of the patients and the successful resolution of the cases.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas
- Certification in Forensic Nursing or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) required, or willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in an emergency department, urgent care, labor and delivery or similar environment required (trauma experience preferred)
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Attention to details, ability to document information accurately, and strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with relevant legal and medical procedures, laws and regulations related to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, holidays and weekends
