Welcome to Crown Power & Equipment! We are hiring a Sales Representative for our Agriculture Equipment and Consumer Products for our Mt. Sterling and Jefferson City Missouri locations. In this role you will build and maintain relationships with farming and local customers selling new and used equipment. You will also be a strategic business connection for our customer base by evaluating a customer's mechanical and technological applications, you will lay out a strategic plan for the customer s future equipment needs. This position is a primary point of contact for their customers which assists to build a strong foundation with our customers to continue our working relationship for years to come.
Crown Power & Equipment provides a comprehensive range of outdoor power equipment, as well as big and small machinery from top manufacturers such as Case IH, Case CE, Kubota and Cub Cadet, to mention a few. We also take pride in providing some of the top used inventory in the area. We have eleven Missouri locations.

What you will be doing:
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and future customers in a defined sales area and within the store selling agriculture, lawn & garden, & outdoor power equipment.
- Be an expert of equipment and products while staying current on features and benefits for our customers.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of used equipment values and be able to competently assess for trading purposes.
- Monitor competitive products and activity.
- Provide management with accurate sales forecasts for financial planning.
- Be aware of trends in your customers businesses.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options available to customers.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
- Work as a team not only within the sales department, but with other departments to consistently create a positive customer experience.
What we re looking for:
- Experience in agriculture, farming, power equipment, lawn and garden equipment, or other heavy equipment experience background or knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills, strong negotiation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
- Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees.
- Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time, and stay organized during peak foot traffic
- Intermediate-level computer skills, including the ability to learn new business systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
- Valid Class E driver license or better and clean driving record.
- Candidate is required to successfully pass the pre-employment screenings which includes background check, pre-employment drug testing as well as driving record evaluation.
