In this role you will:
Physical Therapist Assistant are responsible for rehabilitating and providing follow up patient treatments using plan of care recommended by the evaluating Physical Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for keeping Physical Therapist up to date of any changes in patient medical status.
Document upon each visit, patient treatment, progress and assessment.
Instruct patient in individualized exercise program, within protocol parameters and plan of treatment.
Instruct patient in gait training and proper use of assistive devices.
All other duties as assigned.
About You:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant education program
Florida State Licensure.
CPR certification required

Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with the lead Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Your role will involve assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patient progress. This position is crucial in helping individuals regain mobility and manage pain through various physical therapy techniques.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of the lead Physical Therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises with patients to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
- Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and compliance guidelines.
Experience
Required:
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience in orthopedics, and outpatient settings.
- Understanding of physiology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation practices.
-Strong background in patient care.
