The work - How you will contribute: In accordance with the Wallick Mission and Values, the Dining Room Supervisor coordinates proper set-up, cleaning and meal service in the dining room for efficient food service to residents in the community.
Qualifications Required: - High School education or equivalent desired. Previous serving experience required
- Must be organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with co-workers, residents, family members and business partners. Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office
- Ability to apply basic math skills
- Make routine decisions requiring little judgment which typically affect immediate department
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Assigns jobs/stations to servers
- Monitors the time frame of dining service, ensures that meals are server at appropriate times.
- Monitors plate and garnish presentations.
- Handles complaints of residents regarding food service during mealtimes.
- Acts as host.
- Post menus daily.
- Supervises dining room servers.
- Acts as kitchen supervisor in absence of Executive Chef/Sous Chef.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Position requires extensive walking, stooping/bending, balancing, and kneeling. Requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Work Environment: Occasionally works in hot, wet, or humid conditions (non-weather). Regularly works in cold and hot kitchen (non-weather). Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather conditions.
