We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be providing high-quality sub-acute care to our patients. This role involves a range of tasks including patient care, blood draws, and other nursing duties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years of experience in the medical field, with a focus on sub-acute care.
Responsibilities
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will be expected to perform the following duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a sub-acute setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
- Conduct blood draws and other medical procedures as required.
- Monitor patients' health conditions, take vital signs, and report any changes to the supervising RN or physician.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Educate patients and their families about their health condition and the care they are receiving.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care.
- Adhere to infection-control protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications
- Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license from the state.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in sub-acute care.
- Proficiency in performing blood draws and other medical procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to respond to patient needs with compassion and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations related to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
- Physical stamina to work long hours and meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
