High volume group in beautiful suburb of Kansas City looking for a friendly, caring and professional Part-time Nurse Practitioner.
KC Bariatric has performed over 25,000 weight loss surgeries , and over the last 20 years has seen substantial growth each year. Procedures are done in our Bariatric Specialty Surgical Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center. We have the full support of a large tertiary care hospital, with the convenience of a boutique surgical hospital.
Our practice provides a comprehensive surgical weight loss program, including four bariatric surgeons, psychologists, dieticians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and a bariatric specific office. We have been a Center of Excellence since 2006, and have been designated as a Center of Distinction by all major payors in the area. We perform original and revisional bariatric procedures, as well as endoscopy and general surgery on our bariatric patients.
Our practice has seen tremendous growth in our medically managed weight loss clinic. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support new patients beginning their weight loss journey through all aspects of follow up.
Job description:
- Promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
- Interpret test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department electronic medical records.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving weight loss progress and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Will consider NP candidates with no bariatric experience and/or new graduates.
