Responsibilities:
Production Superintendent responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Promoting a Safe Work Environment
Assisting in directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the production area to maximize efficiencies and long and short-term profitability
Promoting and developing good relationships and high morale among production employees and supervisors
Assisting and guiding supervisors through the Safety investigation/reporting process
Maintaining a good working relationship between all company departments as well as USDA
Directing daily operations to exceed daily production goals
Understanding and adhering to product and customer specifications and expectations
Maintaining high Food Safety and Food Quality Standards and adhering to all Food Safety Regulations
Understanding and adhering to the following programs
Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)
Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCPs)
Developing and training supervisors and leads
Identifying and resolving process issues as they arise
Other duties as assigned
This is an on-site position.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for the Production Superintendent position should possess the following:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a beef plant environment
Proven leadership experience in a team environment
Staff management experience
Basic Computer skills
Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently
Assist in continuous improvement projects
Excellent work ethic, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to make good business decisions quickly
Must be able to manage projects to a successful conclusion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong listening/comprehension skills
Ability and desire to stay composed and objective
Experience with union a plus
Willingness and availability to work any shift
