Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including routine check-ups, screenings, and assessments.
- Offer personalized birthing plans tailored to each client's preferences and medical needs.
- Attend births at the birth center or in clients home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for laboring mothers and their families.
- Conduct thorough postpartum care visits to monitor the health and well-being of mother and baby.
- Educate and counsel clients on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, nurses, and lactation consultants, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in midwifery care.
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the birth center through active involvement in community outreach and marketing efforts.
