Job description:
Cleveland Orthopedic and Spine Institute is looking for an energetic, upbeat, team oriented PART TIME Nurse Practitioner/ Physician’s Assistant. This position requires office care and assisting intraoperatively. Our office is based in Mayfield Heights. We strive for applicants to be engaged and focused on quality patient care. Previous Orthopedic Experience Preferred.
Skills and Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AACN or AANP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 1-year Orthopedic experience preferred
- Operating room experience
- Well versed in patient work up, reading MRI results and other diagnostic imaging
-Familiar with orthopedic evaluations
- Effectively communicate with the doctors in the group about medical findings and patient treatment plans
- Ability to assess and prioritize patient concerns and determine when a quick, prompt response is required in order to ensure patient safety.
- Work with medical assistants to help make sure clinic days run smoothly
- Well-spoken and able to explain medical information and treatment options to patients in a way such for them to understand
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and organization skills
- Availability for answering service on designated days
