Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ
Duration: 4+ Month (With Extension)
Description:
Drive the technical strategy and coordination for the DO-254 Validation and Verification for ASICs.
Support / contribution to creation of cohesive project plans.
Create requirements-based test cases, test procedures and execute on-target verification tests on airborne electronic hardware.
Develop automated test tools in LabView/Python.
Coordinate with hardware and software development teams to design test setups for DO-254 hardware validation and verification.
Assist with the troubleshooting and debugging of test cases, test procedures, LabView software, Embedded Software and test equipment.
Use standard lab probing and troubleshooting test equipment.
Execute automated test scripts and troubleshoot issues.
Document test results with clarity and attention to detail.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Required and Preferred Skills:
Experienced DO-254 Hardware Verification Engineer.
Program management experience.
Experience working with Customers and Suppliers.
Systems validation & verification.
B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or a related degree.
2+ years of Requirements Based Verification per DO-178, DO-254, or ARP4754.
Design experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, CPLD technologies.
Experience with LabView and Python.
Experience with NI PXIe Chassis/Cards.
Experience with DAQ hardware like National Instruments or Speedgoat.
Experience with automated testers and formal acceptance testing.
Experience documenting test environments and test results.
Experience with communication buses like RS232, RS422, CAN, ARINC429, etc.
Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, or equivalent qualification testing.
Experience in a production environment either aerospace, medical, or industrial.
Familiarity with Engine Controls Units, Requirement Traceability, Team Center, and Doors.
