We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide essential support and rehabilitation services to individuals with various physical, mental, and developmental conditions, with a focus on hand and upper extremity injuries. This role is crucial for enhancing patient independence, improving daily living skills, and promoting overall well-being. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to implement effective treatment plans and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in community-based settings.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Evaluate patient conditions based on physical, mental, and developmental assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include appropriate therapies and activities specifically for hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
Conduct hands-on therapy interventions to improve daily living skills, fine motor skills, and overall patient independence.
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home programs to support ongoing rehabilitation.
Fabricate and fit custom splints and orthotics as needed for hand and upper extremity conditions.
Administrative:
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation to track progress and treatment efficacy.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to adjust treatments as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree; Master s degree preferred.
Must hold a current license to practice occupational therapy.
Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) or significant experience is strongly preferred.
Strong foundation in occupational therapy principles, practices, and procedures, with specialized knowledge in hand therapy.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Basic computer and internet literacy for maintaining electronic health records.
Previous experience in an occupational therapy or rehabilitation setting is a plus.

This position does not require the administration of medication.
The role does not involve direct work with minors or environments where minors are present.
