Job Title: Licensed Massage Therapist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and licensed massage therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and various massage techniques, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients. As a licensed massage therapist, you will be responsible for assessing clients' needs and preferences, and delivering high-quality, customized massages.
Responsibilities:
Perform professional quality massage, including modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, hot stone, etc.
Customize massages based on individual client needs and preferences
Maintain detailed treatment records
Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage as part of their overall wellness program
Promote additional services and products as required
Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other professionals such as chiropractors, physiotherapists, and doctors as needed
Attend and participate in continuing education and training workshops to maintain current licensure and expand skill set
Requirements:
Valid state license to practice massage therapy
Completion of a certified massage therapy program
Proficiency in various massage modalities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
Strong desire to help others through the healing benefits of massage
Professional and neat appearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required for entry-level positions
Certification in additional specialized techniques or therapies
Experience with diverse client base

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to perform massages for several hours a day
Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 20 lbs
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range and benefits package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
