We are currently in search of a Lead RN or LVN to join our organization.
Skills Needed:
- 2 years as a supervisor, manager or Lead in an Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Long-Term Care setting preferred
- A registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse licensed to practice as required by state regulations
- Experience in direct patient care and assessments/observation of clinical conditions
- Experience in managing people in the healthcare field preferred
- Experience with employee scheduling preferred
- Must have a hospitality mindset, as well as a customer service focused approach to care
- Should have previous experience in a geriatric setting such as Assisted Living, Memory Care or Long-Term Care
- Experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or a related industry
- CPR certified and knowledge of basic first aid
- Experience coordinating educational events
- Able to work flexible work hours due to demands of position
- Position requires driving responsibilities, therefore you. must possess a valid driver’s license
- Professional in appearance and conduct
- Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to beginning employment
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, develop, and schedule the resident services staff according to Nazareth House policies, procedures, and standards
- Maintain a medication system which adheres to state, federal and company laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Perform assessments and reassessments to determine resident needs and establish appropriate service plans
- Complete daily Quality Enhancement reviews to ascertain if the department is meeting state regulations and atria policies
- Act as a contact for issues related to resident care within the community
- Ensure adherence to company policy and State Health and Safety Codes, and federal regulations for assisted living communities
- Schedule and supervise staff; available to cover staffing when needed
- Administer medications as allowed per state specific guidelines when required
- Provide training and orientation to new assisted living Care staff employees and ongoing training to current Care staff employees
- Communicate to residents, families, department heads, resident services staff, and Executive Director in an effective and respectful manner as needed
- Maintain positive relations with residents’ families and physicians
Education Requirements:
Current and valid state certification as a licensed RN or LVN in the state of California.
