Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a PLT Systems / Principal Systems Integration Engineer. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
The qualified candidate will report to the PLT MEDI lead and is responsible for artifact development for all PRS interfaces.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Run trade studies and impact assessments on design optimization
- Prototype proposed changes in CAD
- Provide surge support for structural analysis
- Development of Interface Control Models
- Configuration management of the PRS
- Interfacing with other IPTs to develop interface requirements and ConOps
- Support development of mass properties analysis and documentation
- Review specifications and propose changes/new specs
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Engineer Systems level or Principal Engineer Systems level.
Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree
Principal Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 0 years of experience with PhD
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
2 - 5 years of related structural design or analysis experience
Knowledge of mechanical design principles
Experience with product data management systems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with Siemens NX, Creo and CPLM
- Experience with "clean-sheet" new design.
- A current active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Structural analysis experience
- DOORS Experience
- Cameo Experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
- Works well in a team environment

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900
Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
