We are recruiting a Human Resources Specialist for a highly reputable professional services organization with strong brand recognition. Our client is in a hyper growth mode and offers ample advancement opportunities! This is a 100% onsite direct hire opportunity in Roseville. Salary: $50,000-$60,000 DOE.
The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for supporting with a variety human resources administrative duties including, but not limited to benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, and employee engagement . The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, at least 1+ year of HR experience, and a proactive work ethic.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits-related inquiries and facilitate open enrollment processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data accuracy.
- Administers the pre-employment and on-boarding processes
- Creates/maintains personnel related files
- Maintains HRIS system with employee information and updates
- Provide general office support to the HR department and company managers.
- Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information.
- Manage employee LOA’s and Worker’s Compensation.
- Assist with recruiting and new hire onboarding/orientation (posting job ads, processing received applications, scheduling interviews, meetings, processing new hire paperwork, creating, and maintaining employee files, entering/updating records in the HR system).
- Coordinate post offer, pre-employment drug testing, criminal background screenings etc.
- Maintain Employee Handbook and other training, policy, and procedural documents and ensure availability to employees as appropriate.
- Respond to requests for employment verifications.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required.
- HR certification a plus.
- 1+ years related experience in an HR Coordinator/Specialist role with benefits required.
- Advance proficiency with MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed-oriented.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with employment laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of HRIS.
