Sales Representative (Remote and In-Person - CSEA Life and Disability products)
The Sales Representative is responsible for work-site marketing and sales of insurance products to client members. Maintains sales programs within assigned sales territory. Meets established sales targets and other quality of business factors.
Your Impact:
- Responsible for meeting overall sales and quality of business targets for a designated sales territory.
- Reviews and analyzes sales reports and other data to monitor progress towards stated goals.
- Estimates sales volume and helps regional director prepare sales forecasts for assigned territory.
- Contributes to planning and implements actions to address shortfalls or opportunities to improve sales.
- Aggressively pursues new business, including development and follow-up on new contacts and leads.
- Works to develop and maintain long-term client relationships with worksite representatives within sales territory.
- Works with members individually and in groups to keep them informed about available products and services, pricing, and new insurance products and/or promotions.
- Calculates and presents quotes and completes insurance applications (paper and/or electronic using carrier supplied software).
- Assists with the development of marketing plans in collaboration with business development management.
- Executes elements of plan as directed within sales territory to increase insurance product business penetration.
- Coordinates marketing activities, which includes collateral distribution (i.e., newsletters, brochures, promotional materials, etc.), advertising, direct mail, client events, tradeshows, etc.
- Prepares and presents sales presentations and attends client meetings as required.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient PC skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Must live in the assigned sales territory within Westchester, Putnam, Orange, or Rockland counties.
Certifications and Licenses
- NYS Life, Accident and Health license – either current license or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Valid driver license and motor vehicle record.

The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected annual pay for the first full year of this position is estimated at a minimum of $70,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
