Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven Sales Leader to join our team. In this remote, field-based role, you will spearhead the development and execution of our commercial strategy within a defined U.S. territory, with a focus on expanding our global reach.
As a key player in our direct sales team, you will forge strong relationships with academic, biotech, pharma, and government accounts, positioning our cutting-edge technology as the market leader in unbiased proteomics.
This role also involves contributing to the growth of our commercial organization and achieving or surpassing the company's sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic, territory-based sales plan aimed at exceeding company goals.
- Deliver impactful presentations on our technology to potential customers in various settings, from large seminars to intimate meetings.
- Provide expert consultation on the value of our proteomics technology, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate customer needs, influencing future product developments and market strategies.
- Navigate and manage complex sales processes, maintaining an updated and accurate CRM system.
- Forecast sales accurately and manage the sales pipeline effectively within your territory.
- Drive prospecting efforts to generate new leads, expanding our customer base and opening new markets.
- Support the expansion and development of the commercial organization to align with company growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of biomarker discovery and the life sciences market.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in life science capital equipment and consumables sales.
- Strong independent work ethic, with the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Preference for candidates based within the region they will support.
Education:
- A degree in Life Sciences is required.
- An MBA or similar business qualification is desirable.
