Job description
Big Machine Distillery is seeking a Human Resource Manager.
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to personnel. You drive the development and rollout of human resource initiatives to meet business and culture goals. You will bring an overall understanding of human resource operations. You will make authoritative decisions regarding staffing, policies, and procedures. Must have excellent communication skills, an understanding of human resource needs, and strong organizational and administrative skills. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President.
Job responsibilities include:
- Recruitment strategies
- Onboarding new employees and offboarding exiting employees
- Creating and maintaining employee records including implementing systems for managing staff benefits, performance reviews, and disciplinary action
- Manage time and attendance including but not limited to PTO requests, overtime, and FMLA leave
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and promoting the company culture
- Supervise 10-12 office staff on a daily level to implement a positive and productive approach to operation and productivity
- Oversee systems & processes: ensure efficiency, reduce redundancy, and suggest improvements
- Investigate and resolve employee-related issues and grievances
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Result-Oriented
- Extremely organized, flexible, and adaptive
- Professional and proactive communication skills
- Thrives in high-pressure environments with task ambiguity and minimal supervision
- Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining ownership of multiple projects
- Ability to identify potential problems and quickly find solutions that promote efficiency/maximize profits
