Penta Search Group has been retained by a global chemical manufacturer serving the Life Sciences sector to hire a Commercial Director who will design and roll out the commercial strategy, over seeing sales, product management and customer service, with the objective of driving growth.
This position is offered on a remote basis, although regular travel to the HQ in Connecticut will be required.
This position will report to the CEO, and will:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies
- Lead a cross functional team including sales, customer service and product management
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
- Collate market intelligence and develop go-to market strategies
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with strategic suppliers and deliver long term supplier agreements.
- Provide input and direction to the operating budget and forecasting
- Take ownership of the business relationship strategy
- Provide commercial oversight and input to all RFPs, bids, and cost estimates
- Actively help identify potential Mergers & Acquisitions targets, product expansion, and geographic expansion opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree. MBA or Masters preferred
- 10 + years commercial experience working in the Chemical or Biopharmaceutical sectors
- Seasoned leader with demonstrable track record of talent identification and development
