Account Executive (Sake Sales) - Onsite
$60K - $66K base
Responsibilities:
· Meets the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by Sales Manager.
· Develops new business relationships and manages existing accounts with restaurant chains, retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
· Makes inroads into the American consumer base by initiating new projects/products/ programs.
· Compiles Division IV sales data for Sales Manager, Purchasing Department, and Customers
· Manages brokers to set sales objectives and implement strategies accordingly.
· Visit and communicate with customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the Company’s products.
· Introduces and increase sales of new products to customers. Works with customers to avoid out-of-stock situations
· Coordinates with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner.
· Updates and prepare all monthly sales materials/reports as required by the Company.
· Reports any inventory or service issues to appropriate department immediately
· Produces/participates in trade shows/events as set by business objectives.
· Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport.
· Responds to and communicates with all customers in a timely manner.
· Coordinates urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs.
· Educates customers on how the products or services can benefit them.
· Inputs and updates orders within the Company database accordingly.
· Analyze data and produce reports on sales activities and results.
· Maintains and safely navigates the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
· Participates in weekly sales meetings.
· Attends semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
· Attends Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
· Other duties as required.
· Obligation to answer to all management as requested.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to drive and sit in a car for extended periods of time.
· Ability to sit in an office for extended periods of time.
· Ability to type and use a computer for extended periods of time.
· Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to use the phone for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
· Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the office
Other Requirement:
· Business level English – Read/write/speak/listen
· Conversational level Japanese; Business level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
· To have and maintain a clean driving record
· Maintain a positive attitude
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
· Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment
· AA Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
· 4+ years of food or liquor sales experience
· 4+ years of customer service or sales experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
· Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
· Data Compiling and Analysis skills
· Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Problem-solving skills
· Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
· Knowledge of ERP systems, especially AS400 preferred
· Communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge and previous attendance of tradeshows preferred
· Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes
