The primary objective of this leadership position is to recruit, train and develop high performing Sales Consultants, who manage our field sales. This leader must possess excellent communication skills, good knowledge of consumer sales techniques and ability to motivate sales teams to exceed goals and other sales metrics. They will be involved in all aspects of recruiting, training, and developing our sales teams within the Tucson region. They will make suggestions/recommendations that could enhance or streamline sales operations and ensure adoption of our established sales program in the field. They will ensure our Sales Consultants are effective in the field and give guidance to our field sales trainers to maximize performance in all markets. They must interpret data and execute game plans for improvement.
In this position, you will work across other departments to ensure smooth collaboration with installation, order entry, purchasing and finance. You must have good customer service skills to help resolve escalated issues or cancellations.
The Manager of our Sales Consultants will drive the achievement of stated goals and assure total program success through motivation, coaching and development of a high-performance sales team in a high growth environment.
Essential Functions
- Attain company sales forecasts, financial goals and revenue objectives.
- Drive continuous sales performance improvement in both conversion rates and pricing.
- Increase sales through execution of our sales process.
- Conduct weekly meetings with our Sales Consultants to improve their effectiveness.
- Directly supervise the Sales Consultants and collaborate with our Field Sales Trainers to ensure goal attainment and proper allocation of our resources.
- Monitor and track progress and provide coaching to managers, and ensure timely feedback is given to sales personnel.
- Interpret data to identify trends opportunities and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
- Lead the Sales team to maximum profit and to achieve company goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or proven track record with work experience.
- Sales leadership experience with In-home sales experience a plus.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft office, excel and CRM systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines and operate under pressure.
- Knowledge of principles and practice of employee supervision including assigning, monitoring, work evaluation, hiring, training, counseling, and disciplining
- Strong sales background and sales process development.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with company employees, board and other external partners.
- Able to use sound business judgment and enact strong business ethics.
- Ability to deliver creative and innovative ideas.
- Ability to influence and guide managers across multiple markets.
