Job Summary
The Sales Representative’s key responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales by offering various packaging solutions. This position is a field sales position that requires interfacing with the management group, as well as working closely with Piedmont National Customer Service team.

· Seek to bring in new business that will increase customer base and sales/profit
· Establish new contacts by taking an active role and exhibiting a passion for networking events, committees, and otherwise representing PNC in the community
· Strategically approach each new and existing customer to understand pain points and determine how PNC can strategically add value with innovative packaging solutions
· Perform validation of new customers and provide key internal stakeholders with pertinent decision-making information
- Develop a business plan for each account in addition to identify, solicit, develop, and secure new packaging opportunities within the territory
- Grow market share, product margin and book of business within assigned territory
- Coordinate use of other company resources (e.g. customer service, credit, warehouse, etc.) to provide value added services to accounts
- Provide analysis and information on sales forecasts, new business, and budget preparation
- Generate revenue that meets divisional objectives
- Convincingly deliver presentations on packaging solutions and competently handle questions and objections
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned territory through a structured and consistent territory management process that results in increased sales activity
- Accurately and efficiently deal with all sales inquiries in a timely manner
- Generate sufficient sales leads to achieve targeted revenue
- Grow business with existing customers
- Systematically manage all contacts to better service and target the customers and prospects within the territory
- Establish an effective working relationship with customer service representatives and other key internal team members
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong motivation to be in the top 20% of wage earners; with an initiative to be goal driven with an incredible work ethic
· A strong business acumen, leadership skills, negotiation skills, conceptual and analytical skills, and interpersonal effectiveness
· A solid understanding of distribution models and providers that operate specific to packaging
· High energy and personal integrity
· Conscientious interest in initiating creative problem-solving measures, and a determination to provide successful solutions
· Clean MVR record, valid driver’s license, and $100,000/$300,000 in a automobile liability insurance
· Ability to travel
· Moderate understanding of basic technology
Education/Experience:
· A Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior sales or marketing experience, preferably in the packaging or distribution industry
