Position Title: Tax Accountant

The salary range for this position is $72,250 - $100,000 Depends on Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare tax return supporting workpapers and coordinate with 3rd party tax advisor to file tax returns/extensions and make payments.
Assist in preparing quarterly and year end income tax provision.
Reconcile monthly sales & use tax records and coordinate with 3rd party tax advisor to file tax returns in all jurisdictions in which our companies operate.
Collaborate proactively with other departments to ensure proper sales & use tax are billed to customers or accounted for in project forecasts.
Reconcile monthly fuel tax records.
Month-end financial close, including reconciliation and analysis of general ledger tax accounts and assisting with the year-end audit process.
Monitoring the expiration date of tax exemption certificates and obtaining the updated certificates from customers before expiration date.
Assist with miscellaneous tax and business filings.
Assist in managing domestic and foreign tax audits.
Research on various tax matters and make informed recommendations.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
Prioritize multiple tasks/projects, while also completing regular responsibilities, working effectively, independently and in a team environment.
Other tax duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, plus a minimum of 4-7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or Master’s degree in tax is preferred.
Experience with Onesource tax provision or similar software is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret tax documents and communicate clearly in written and verbal communication. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to adapt to change, think strategically, deliver results, and engage and influence others.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPA or equivalent license preferred.
