Our client is looking to add a Human Resources Director to their team. Our client provides healthcare services to low-income adults who are uninsured or underinsured, with a focus on compassion and quality care, aiming to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility regardless of financial situation.
The Human Resource Director will lead the HR department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and adherence to legal compliance. This role involves strategic planning, implementing HR programs, coaching management, and overseeing HR staff.
Director Responsibilities:
- Strategize Human Resources initiatives to reinforce the Mission, Vision, Core Values, and goals of Our Client.
- Design, implement, and lead HR programs to meet the needs of each ministry area, including Clinics and Stores. Includes all areas of HR: Organizational Development, Executive Coaching, Risk Mitigation, Policy & Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Training and Development, etc.
- Coach management to succeed in interpersonal and organizational leadership.
- Manage the HR department to develop talent and oversee responsibilities: HR Manager, Cultural Director, HR & Payroll Coordinator.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and implement best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) system.
- Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Develop and implement departmental budget.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of human resource management experience required.
- At least 3 years of experience in the nonprofit industry.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a medical clinic and retail office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Expected Commitment and Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with core hours being 9 am through 5 pm.
Travel:
When needed, travel will be between locations, local, and during the business day. There will be no need for out-of-town travel.
