We are looking for one full-time Account Executive for our Houston Publication. This job requires that you sell print advertising. We currently mail more than 3.25 million magazines annually to the cream-of-the-crop homeowners throughout the greater Houston Market, along with, potentially, hundreds of thousands of BookMarks, PopOuts, and DML Accessory products.
Do you have at least two years of demonstrated sales success in home-improvement product sales or advertising sales? We are picky and we hope you are as well. This position comes complete with an industry leading 94% Issue-to-Issue client retention, full-time on-staff designer, a focused email-marketing team that helps to generate your leads, in-office magazine support, nationwide peer-grouping idea-sharing and ongoing sales-focused training, and a giving Publisher who continues to thrive. Your core purpose is to gain the trust of new clients, earn back former ones, and serve your active advertisers – all with a collaborative in-house team in place to clear the path to make it easy for you to earn big!
Our average advertising salesperson earns nearly $10,000 monthly throughout our 68 magazines nationally, and this opportunity is no different. Broad client-base, forecasted growth, a wide product offering, and a guaranteed annual base wage to get you up and running! In addition to our in-magazine advertising, we offer a roster of extended inserts and direct-mail-labels that outperform all other direct-mail in the market.

This is a combination of an in-office and in-field sales position with a $50K - $60K annual minimum potential base to start (with a real $130K+ potential). What is also very attractive is, due to our print schedule, TheHomeMag of Houston offers over 40 days a year in PTO & holiday time. You will also receive In-house ongoing coaching & training and the incredible feeling of helping your home improvement clients grow big – all without the hassle of extended overnight stays away from your home and family. You will work in the Greater Houston Market.
