Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Exec Director of Human Resources (HR), the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading an effective talent acquisition strategy to build & maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified and diverse talent to support the continued growth of the company. This role manages the full-cycle talent acquisition process, including sourcing and screening of candidates, conducting and coordinating interview processes, facilitating offers of employment, and pre-employment & first day activities. This individual will work closely with the Organizational Development (OD) team and hiring managers to ensure accurate and effective candidate selection criteria and tools are determined and consistently utilized. The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist must balance hiring goals that emphasize quality hires, process efficiency, and providing an outstanding candidate experience while supporting proactive measures aimed at helping to ensure effective new hire onboarding and long-term success and retention of hires.
This position is based out of our Cincinnati office, in office Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Establish and modify full-cycle talent acquisition processes, workflows, practices and procedures to ensure effective recruitment efforts and provide optimal candidate experience.
- Develop and maintain strong communication and working relationships with hiring managers and executive leadership as well as an in-depth understanding of the business and associated talent needs, ensuring that current and future hiring needs are supported.
- Identify and implement effective sourcing strategies in each market, utilizing various sources including HRIS, online job posting boards, social media, college/university programs, technical/vocational schools, trade organizations, military/veteran groups, career fairs, passive candidate engagement, and employee referral program.
- Conduct thorough candidate evaluations, including resume screening, phone/virtual interviews, assessment tests, and in-person interviews.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on interviewing techniques and selection methodology.
- Maintain applicant tracking system, org charts, and other necessary records and metrics to ensure accuracy, compliance and measure effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Work with hiring managers and Exec Director of HR in facilitating job offers, including creation and presenting of offer letters and coordination of pre-employment and first day requirements and activities.
- Collaborate with Marketing team on recruitment marketing campaigns and other creative methods to attract passive candidates & increase overall applicant flow and brand awareness.
- Maintain awareness of trends relating to turnover in the organization and work closely with HR and OD teams on employee retention efforts and strategies.
- Work with the Exec Director of HR on the development and performance of DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) strategies and initiatives.
- Remain involved with ongoing initiatives, sharing of best practices, and leveraging of resources available through Raymond Corporation, the Raymond network, and HRIS provider relating to talent acquisition.
- Work on joint projects and initiatives as a key, contributing member of the Human Resources team along with other HR, OD and Safety members.
- Protect the interests of candidates, employees, and the company in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Remain current with applicable employment laws, regulations, trends and best practices for talent acquisition through ongoing self-development and educational efforts.
- Actively promote organizational policies, values, practices and standards, with particular emphasis on Purpose 27 principles.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience in talent acquisition, including hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation/selection methods
- BA/ BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and effective recruiting processes
- Familiarity with social media recruitment, resume databases, and job boards
- Ability to source candidates for a diverse range of positions (e.g., mechanics, sales, engineering, professional, admin, etc.)
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Experience with candidate assessment tools and software
- Experience with employer marketing/branding efforts for recruitment is helpful
- Must be self-motivated and display high levels of ambition, enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative
- Must have strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
- Must practice high level of confidentiality in all activities involving sensitive information
- Must have effective time management and organizational skills
- Must be comfortable managing a high-volume workload with multiple priorities
- Must be process-oriented and have high attention to detail
- Must be able to effectively balance individual focus with team collaboration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Occasional travel to branch locations (Columbus OH & Louisville, KY) will be necessary
