Richmond-based independent insurance agency is seeking an experienced individual to support its mission of helping clients mitigate risks by protecting their assets, employees, and all that they have built. The candidate will be responsible for managing a $3M premium book of business that is about 120 accounts. This includes onboarding new clients, proactively managing the policy renewal process, and communicating with clients and underwriters on policy services. The Account Manager works closely with the sales team and reports directly to the Director of Service & Operations.
Responsibilities
- Ability to provide meaningful support in servicing existing business clients and seamlessly onboard new clients.
- Follow agency procedures while working in the agency management system(AMS 360) to document and service clients.
- Ability to confidently assist clients with coverage questions, add lines of business and endorse limits of insurance.
- Electronically deliver policies, endorsements, and certificates in a timely fashion.
- Engage clients in the renewal process 60-90 days ahead of their policy renewal date.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, applications, and underwriting data.
Qualifications
- Virginia Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Three or more years of insurance experience
- Possess/obtain commercial insurance knowledge,
- Technology proficiency, clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a strong desire to grow and develop professionally.
- Strong time management skills and can prioritize tasks.
