We are seeking a Benefits Account Manager responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our small business clients through proactive communication and strategic client management. This role will require being in the office 4 days per week (either Maumee or Sandusky).
The base salary is $100,000-$125,000 which may be negotiable plus a bonus of $5,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully and strategically service and maintain an assigned book of business.
- Grow the book of business through cross-sale opportunities.
- Serve in an advisory capacity for clients.
- Manage the entire renewal process.
- Conduct needs analysis and mid-year strategy calls.
- Conduct enrollment meetings and other face-to-face visits for approved cases.
- Advise clients on reducing costs while offering competitive benefits options.
- Assist clients with 5500 form filings, as applicable.
- Build relationships with clients through proactive communication.
- Educate clients on the latest trends, concerns, and changes in the industry.
- Complete assignments as directed by the manager.

Education, Training, and Experience:
- Prior experience in a broker agency or benefit administration firm is a must.
- Current life and health insurance license is required.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health Care Reform.
- Familiarity and practical knowledge of the quoting process and tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management in a consultative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with database applications.
- Knowledge of health and ancillary products.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
