Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, and closing sales deals. This is a highly visible position with our organization. As the primary customers are small to medium, locally owned businesses, the Sales Representative needs to be capable of presenting and closing all sizes of sales transactions. Duties
- Conduct business development activities to identify new sales opportunities
- Manage assigned territory effectively to maximize sales (San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco Counties)
- Utilize cold calling and other sales techniques to engage with B2B customers (contact 40 prospects per month) - spend agreed upon time making outside sales calls
- Specialize in technology sales and provide technical expertise to customers
- Execute direct sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets (sales goal per month, 8 Kubota power units). Must provide weekly update to Sales manager.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies
- Utilize VinSolutions CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Prepare sales proposals utilizing Mission Valley Kubota's quoting system
- Responsible for completing booking sheets to recap and finalize sold products
- Responsible for submitting deals to KCC for financing approval
- Must review all sales deals with Sales Manager PRIOR to delivery
- Promote Mission Valley Kubota's Rental, Parts, and Service Department when applicable
- Must maintain product training
- All deals must be submitted to Sales Manager immediately after sales and delivery
Other
- All sales will be split with current salesperson if not available in person to sign documents or deliver product to customer
- Performance review due every quarter for the first year and annually thereafter
Experience
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in an automotive or equipment-related field
- Strong understanding of business development and territory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
- Familiarity with VinSolutions or other CRM software is a plus
