LHH is assisting a manufacturing client in the Carmel area with a newly created VP of Finance position.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead the financial strategy and operations of our growing manufacturing company. This role requires a dynamic finance professional with a proven track record in private equity environments and extensive experience in manufacturing. The VP of Finance will be a key member of the executive team, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, risk management, IT/HR oversight, and ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Partner with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with business goals and drive growth.
- Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans for the company.
- Manage capital allocation, cost controls, and financial reporting to ensure strong financial health and compliance.
- Private Equity Collaboration:
- Serve as the key liaison with private equity stakeholders, ensuring alignment on financial targets, performance, and reporting.
- Manage debt and equity financing, investor relations, and M&A activities as needed.
- ERP Implementation & Systems Oversight:
- Oversee the successful implementation and integration of ERP systems to optimize financial operations.
- Ensure the ERP system is fully leveraged to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and process automation.
- Operational & Functional Management:
- Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide oversight and strategic guidance for the IT and HR functions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, cost control, and financial performance across all departments.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and all relevant financial and accounting standards.
- Develop and oversee internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify and manage risks to the business, including financial, operational, and market risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is not required but preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in private equity-backed businesses, with a solid understanding of the financial requirements and challenges.
- Strong background in ERP implementation and financial systems integration.
