Key Account Sales Manager – USA
Location: Boston, MA
Salary: $130,000

A vacancy has opened for a Key Account Manager at a USA subsidiary of a UK Business. This role is primarily home office-based, with an expectation to work from the USA office Attleboro, MA at least once a week.
The position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Development:
Position the company as a key player in the USA market for plastic bearing solutions.
Create and nurture strategic partnerships to drive sales growth.
Champion customer interests while enhancing profit, market share, brand reputation, and equity.
Focus on customer expectations to improve service and product quality.
Sales and Strategy:
Achieve and exceed sales and gross margin targets for the assigned territory.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with major end users and specifiers of plastic bearing solutions.
Develop and execute strategic plans to target and grow sales in segments where market share is low.
Explore new market opportunities and adapt strategies to meet changing customer and market needs.
Account Management:
Develop and implement plans to secure new customers and grow business with existing customers, particularly key accounts and targeted development accounts.
Provide market intelligence to assist in the strategic growth of the USA business.
Develop and deploy a Key Account strategy with individual account plans.
Operations and Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports, plans, forecasts, and administrative requirements.
Plan customer interactions efficiently, complete call reports on CRM, and provide accurate territory forecasts.
Work closely with Marketing and Engineering to maximize opportunities with existing products, including Industry Standard Bearings (ISBs).
Continuous Improvement:
Provide feedback on market conditions, competitor activities, and progress towards business objectives.
Analyze the market position and develop strategies to address strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop marketing material and strategies.
Ensure continuous improvement in a dynamic, change-oriented culture.
Monitor and review key sales performance and market indicators.
Qualifications:
Degree in a Technical/Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Experience working in an international business.
Technical Experience:
Experience with Tier 1 Automotive component suppliers.
Experience in a manufacturing business.
Experience developing large OEM accounts.
Supervisory/Managerial Experience:
Minimum 5 years of successful Technical Sales experience.
Specialist Equipment Experience:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with CRM systems
