Are you a CFP® with ninja-level Excel skills? Do you naturally create scary detailed to-do lists, & love sleuthing out inconsistent information from mountains of data? Does analyzing complicated financial & legal documents, creating complex client deliverables & mapping out sophisticated structures sound like your idea of a good time? Do you love working on a high-energy team while simultaneously managing multiple dynamic projects?
If so, our Financial Planning Analyst role may be for you!
OPPORTUNITY
At most “advice-based” firms, a Financial Planner is simply a sales role. When these organizations talk about “planning”, they are often referring to taking numbers from a questionnaire & plugging them into canned software to generate boiler-plate reports in support of investment management & / or insurance sales.
However, at Mosaic, we believe there is a better way. Imagine a world with no conflicts of interest. Where a firm charges flat fees in exchange for actionable, impactful advice. One where they don’t have anything to sell. No life insurance. No investment management. No tax returns. No legal drafting.
As a result, Planning Analysts have the space necessary to spend their time & energy working on understanding, designing, & stress-testing complex scenarios to solve the real-world, multi-faceted problems that live at the intersection of tax, legal, financial, business, family, & philanthropic planning.
In this world, there are no cookie-cutter designs, one-size-fits-all approaches, or off-the-shelf technologies that get the job done. To make an impact, it can’t be bought, it has to be earned with curiosity, resourcefulness, & deep understanding of complicated concepts built on a foundation of teamwork.
If it feels like you were just struck by lightning, we should talk!
Primary responsibilities include:

· Planning Analysts organize, synthesize, summarize, & illustrate the data collected into 8 - 10 dedicated presentations – highlighting observations, questions, & recommendations.
o When supporting an existing family –
· Planning Analysts serve as a critical member across the entire life cycle of an engagement working alongside each internal department & external professional advisory team.
· Planning Analysts maintain Client Operating Calendars & take ownership of Annual Milestone Meetings such as –
· Current Financial Condition (Balance Sheet & Entity Map)
· Estate Plan Review
